WHAT DOES IT COST?
The cost depends on variables such as the number of interview hours and number of photos. These determine the length of a book or video and the amount of editing required. Binding material and quantity ordered also affect the cost of a book project. We’ll be happy to meet with you in person or by phone and quote a price based on your project requirements. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? Books take about six to twelve months, depending on the client’s schedule and availability. The turn around time for videos is much quicker. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO PREPARE FOR THE INTERVIEWS? Nothing. Beforehand, we’ll send a list of memory sparkers for you to read through, but there is no preparation necessary. Think of the interviews as relaxed conversations. Most people have been thinking about their life story for years and only need someone to get them talking. WHAT IF I SAY SOMETHING I REGRET? The narrator has complete control over content and is free to make any changes. CAN I CONCENTRATE ON A SINGLE TIME PERIOD IN MY LIFE? We can structure the project however you want. You can concentrate solely on a particular event or period in life such as career, military experience, travel adventures, or illness. CAN A HUSBAND AND WIFE DO A PERSONAL HISTORY BOOK TOGETHER? Yes. A single book can be divided into two parts⎯the husband’s story and the wife’s story—or the two stories can be bound in two volumes within one slipcase. Vertical Divider
